Before becoming Shirley Feeney in the hit series, “Laverne & Shirley”, Cindy Williams had already worked with some of Hollywood’s top directors. One of her first big breaks came in George Cukor’s “Travels with My Aunt”. Cindy then gained international acclaim working with director George Lucas in the mega-hit, “American Graffiti”. She also co-starred in Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Conversation”. Soon, however, television beckoned, leading to an 8-year run of the enormously popular “Laverne & Shirley”.
After the show ended, and while raising her family, Cindy co-produced the hit movie, “Father of the Bride” and its sequel. She also guest-starred in many television shows, including “8 Simple Rules” and “Law and Order SVU”. On stage, Cindy performed in the national tours of “Grease” and “Deathtrap”, and went on to make her Broadway debut as daffy “Mrs.Tottendale” in the award- winning musical, “The Drowsy Chaparone”.
